Notes to self… (Jetspeed and Freddy Couples)

Slow back and PULL that right elbow RIGHT into your side. Get up to the top of the backswing and then just pull the trigger. The rest takes care of itself. Which it did today on the range to be fair – as long as I pulled that right elbow RIGHT IN.

Hit 110 balls at the range today, determined to start getting my start-of-season bag sorted – and for now (well… today) that meant finding a driver (from two or three that I tested) that I could start the season with.

Well… the driver I will be starting this season with (IF the season goes ahead) is the 2013 TaylorMade Jetspeed, which which was by far the most forgiving and reliable on the range this afternoon.

Shame it wasn’t the old, beautiful Cleveland Classic, but there you go!

And on the subject of the range – a few swing thoughts to take to the 1st tee in April – from the tip book of none other than Freddy BOOM BOOM Couples.

Slow back and PULL that right elbow RIGHT into your side. Get up to the top of the backswing and then just pull the trigger. The rest takes care of itself. Which it did today on the range to be fair – as long as I pulled that right elbow RIGHT IN. (I’ve never had that swing thought before, but it seemed to work this afternoon, which is why I’m writing it down here now!)
