In off the cush.

If you’ve not heard of Scott Hend, you’d not be alone. He’s basically a middle-aged, journeyman, Australian, professional golfer, who has made pretty-well ALL of his money on the Asian tour (or in Asian tournaments) – at least it was that way up until a couple of years ago, and after a year or so off the boil, is again now it seems, after he won the Maybank Championship in koala lump her last weekend.

When I had one eye constantly on the odds of pro golfers at tournaments, (10 or so years ago now), I always thought the “abrasive” and “hot-headed” Hend was someone to watch in Asia, early in the year (but at no other time).

He’s quite long off the tee, a bit of a “character” (although that’s not saying much as far as professional golfers are concerned – the cardboard cutout Henrik Stenson is equally thought of as a “bit of a cad” on tour), and other than that, pretty nondescript really.

But.

He played a wonderful shot “in off the cush” at the Maybank this weekend.

I love stuff like this.

Watch it here.
